When it comes to motivation, self-care helps a lot. However, motivation comes from within. You cannot motivate yourself without perseverance. There are many ways of motivating yourself, here are just a few ideas to help you get started. Tip 1: Music Music is all around us. When it comes to music, it always helps motivate me when I don’t have another person around. Sometimes it helps me become motivated to work on my business, other times it helps me work on my household chores. There are researches out there that point to how music helps our brains. There is a saying for parents that has been around for a while. Maybe you heard of it from Karie from The Incredibles say it. “Mozart helps promote baby brain development” or something like that. So turn on your favourite playlist and blast it. Maybe it will motivate you into organizing your room. Motivation Tip 2: To-Do Lists/Write It Out For some people, writing out their tasks help them immensely. For some people it doesn’t do jack squat. It’s always a learning curve. However, there are benefits to writing lists. It increases productivity, improves memory, reduces stress,(am I right parents?) It also allows for more personal time, improves mental health, provides a sense of accomplishment and allows you to set goals with deadlines, which also leads back to giving a sense of accomplishment. Are you someone who struggles with anxiety? Writing lists may help you ease that anxiety. Tip 4: Surround Yourself With Positive People Positive people fill your life with positivity. It also enhances your positive self-talk, but positive people aren’t easy to come by in this day and age. You can also read positive books, like The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy. You see, I read it and it truly brought my negativity to light. When you read negativity, it brings negativity into your life. I recommend this read immensely. Motivation Tip 5: Make A New Habit Building new habits take time. Also, some people its hard to either break a habit or make new ones. Most people take about 21 days, or even 2 months to create a new habit. When you keep up the momentum and the routine, it helps the habit become almost autonomous Or automatic. I mean, breaking the habit of smoking is hard for me, but I also have started writing things down as a new habit. In conclusion, there are many ways of motivating yourself. However, it is truly up to you as a person, to come up with ideas to motivate yourself.
